Loading PDF Presets in an InDesign Document
Your printer may have their own custom pdf preset that you can use when you export a print ready pdf from InDesign. These pdf presets are sometimes referred to as .joboptions files. Ask your printer to send you their custom pdf preset, then follow the steps below to load the preset so that it is available in the Adobe PDF Presets pop-up menu.

To load a custom job options / pdf presets file:

1. Choose File > Adobe PDF Presets > Define. In the Adobe PDF Presets dialog box, click the Load button.

2. Navigate to the .joboptions file supplied by your printer.

3. Select the file, then click OK. The file name appears in the Presets list. When you next go into the Adobe PDF Export dialog box, the .joboptions files is available in the Adobe PDF Presets pop-up menu.
